There is a required “uniformed” look for all students at Thomas A. Edison Charter School. We believe that a school dress code produces an increase in school performance and a decrease in the number of behavior-related problems. Below are the school dress requirements and stores where you will find the items you will need at reasonable prices.
Girls: Red, Navy or White collared blouse or knit polo shirt.
Boys: Red, Navy or White collared polo shirt.
Shirts must be buttoned and tucked in.
Girls: Navy or Khaki pants or capris; Navy, Khaki, or Navy/Plaid knee-length skirts, shorts, or skorts.
NO mini skirts or short shorts.
Boys: Navy or Khaki slacks or knee-length shorts.
Shoes: Solid White, Black, or Blue closed-toe shoes or sneakers without stripes, designs or logos (please do the best you can). NO: high heels, sandals, or flip-flops.
Socks and Belts: Solid White, Blue or Black socks and belts.
Jewelry: Students may wear simple stud earrings or small hoops.
Jeans and sweatpants are not a part of the school uniform. Hooded sweatshirts are not permitted to be worn inside the classroom.
School Uniforms are available at the following locations:
Girls: White collared blouse or Oxford shirt. Navy or Red/Navy Plaid Cross Tie
Boys: White Oxford or pin-point dress shirt. Navy or Red/Navy standard tie.
Ties: Both Boys and Girls are required to wear ties. Girls may wear a Navy or Navy/Red Plaid Cross tie. Boys may wear Navy or Navy/Red Plaid standard ties.
Shoes: Solid White, Black, or Blue closed-toe shoes or sneakers without stripes, designs or logos (please do the best you can). NO: high heels, sandals, or flip flops.
